Chris obtained a jury verdict of $1.2 million dollars for his client who was injured by a commercial trucking company. The only offer in the case was just prior to trial where the defendant trucking company offered $5,000.00.
Chris brings over 27 years of experience to his clients, focusing on personal injury, motor vehicle negligence, premises, products liability, and wrongful death cases. He has helped thousands of people over the course of his career, and won in excess of 22 million dollars in settlements and verdicts in the last decade. He loves the challenge and responsibility of advocating for his clients to obtain the justice they seek.
Prior to joining Ligori and Ligori in Tampa, Chris ran his own firm in Pensacola obtaining verdicts and settlements for his injured clients. Chris spent almost a decade practicing at Levin Papantonio, Thomas, Mitchell, Echsner and Proctor, PA in Pensacola, Florida. During his time there he consistently obtained among the highest annual total dollar amount of settlements for firm clients in the practice areas of personal injury, product liability and wrongful death.
Chris is licensed in both Florida and Michigan. Immediately following law school, he served as a Clerk for the Michigan Court of Appeals in Grand Rapids, Michigan. After leaving the Court of Appeals he practiced in his family firm in Kalamazoo, Michigan, for over a decade practicing criminal defense and plaintiff’s personal injury. In 2002, when Michigan winters became unbearable, he moved to Florida.
Chris was active in the NW Florida legal community including the Florida Justice Association, Escambia County Bar Association, the Pensacola America Inns of Court, and the Florida Law Related Education Association’s High School Mock Trial Competition, where was a coach for the Gulf Breeze High School Mock Trial Team. He was a sponsor of and volunteer for the Gulf Breeze High School Athletic Department football, and men’s golf and basketball programs in Gulf Breeze, Florida. Chris looks forward to the same community outreach and involvement in Tampa.
Chris has been admitted to practice before all Michigan and Florida State Courts, the United states District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, the United States Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit, and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida.
Chris is a graduate of Valparaiso University School of Law and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He enjoys travelling with his wife, skiing, hockey, golf and is an avid audiophile.
