Scot Seplowe
Born and raised in Palm Harbor, FL, attorney Scot Seplowe became a lawyer to make a meaningful difference in his hometown community and to help his neighbors in their deepest times of need.
Mr. Seplowe is experienced in Personal Injury law. His goal is to help you understand the legal issues you face and to obtain the maximum value for your claim either through settlement or trial.
When he was in high school Scot’s mother fell off a six-foot ledge that was improperly maintained by a negligent landlord. His mom’s subsequent personal injury case was a formative development in Scot’s life. He watched as his mom’s phone calls to her attorney were ignored and she was just treated like another number on a spreadsheet. This case changed the way Mr. Seplowe perceived the law and the power dynamics between the injured, their attorney, and the insurance company. He decided there and then that he was going to make sure that injured people get the individualized service and respect that they deserved and in so doing get the justice they deserve.
After law school, Mr. Seplowe sought to help the community through the political process. He served as a high-level campaign attorney and strategist for some of the biggest names in Washington D.C. and Tallahassee. In those roles, he worked on behalf of insurance companies and other large businesses. But ultimately, the political process left him disenchanted and unfulfilled.
Most notably, working in politics, Mr. Seplowe saw firsthand how big insurance companies put their pursuit of profits over people’s well-being. That the entire political process was built to cater to these profit-driven pursuits. Seeing the damage these big companies can do, in 2017 Mr. Seplowe decided to leave his high-paying political career in Washington D.C. and moved home to help people in the community who are most vulnerable to the abuses of others. He now loves his job because he gets to deliver justice to countless individuals who desperately need help.
Scot Seplowe worked for the past 5 years for a large personal injury law firm serving Tampa, St. Petersburg, Palm Harbor, Lakeland, Wesley Chapel, and all of the areas in the Bay region. He has delivered tens of millions of dollars in financial compensation to his clients for injuries that they suffered at the hand of negligent individuals.
Mr. Seplowe received his law degree from Florida State University College of Law and his undergraduate degree at the University of Florida. He is admitted to practice in United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida and is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, Florida Bar, Florida Justice Association, and the Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers Association. He is also a nonprofit advisory Board Member of Gulfcoast Family.
