Meet Attorney Rob Murphy
Rob Murphy has called the Tampa Bay area home for more than 30 years. Born in New York, he moved to the area in the early 1990s, graduated from high school here, and has built his life and career in this community.
He knew early on that he wanted to be a trial lawyer. While still in college, he worked at the Hillsborough County State Attorney's Office and for a circuit court judge, and seeing cases play out in the courtroom confirmed the path he wanted to take.
Rob spent the first eight years of his career on the defense side, representing healthcare providers, nursing homes, and long-term care facilities, and he rose to partner at a national firm. But the work never matched why he became a lawyer. He wanted to help people, especially the people in the community he calls home, not protect corporations from risk. So he changed sides.
Today, Rob represents injured people and their families in personal injury, medical malpractice, nursing home, and long-term care cases throughout Florida. His years on the other side taught him exactly how hospitals, care facilities, and insurance companies defend these cases, and he uses that insight to fight for the families who trust him.
