Meaghann Ligori
Meaghann is a Partner at Ligori & Ligori, P.A. She was inspired to become an attorney by her father, Keith P. Ligori, Esq., who has dedicated his life to helping others.
Meaghann was born in Dubuque, Iowa. She has spent most of her life in the lovely sunshine state of Florida and considers herself a Florida native. Meaghann is a high school graduate of the Academy of the Holy Names in Tampa, Florida. While in high school Meaghann participated in three varsity sports; volleyball, basketball and track. Additionally, she played both competitive Club Volleyball and AAU Basketball. She played in the State Championship for volleyball and the State Final Four for basketball. While in high school Meaghann was awarded the prestigious award of Esse Quam Videri, which is the highest award any freshman can receive at the Academy of Holy Names. It reflects the school motto of “To Be, Rather Than to Seem.”
After high school Meaghann earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Elon University in Elon, North Carolina. While in college Meaghann was the fundraising chair for Habitat for Humanity and a member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority. Meaghann held a job throughout college working for campus recreation as the Club House Manager. In the summer of Meaghann’s junior year of college she interned for Senator Bill Nelson in Washington, D.C. This experience gave Meaghann the opportunity to further her knowledge, grow as a person and witness firsthand the policy making process and bureaucratic system of the United States government. This experience encouraged Meaghann to follow her dream of becoming an attorney.
After leaving Elon University, Meaghann attended law school at the Stetson College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida and earned a Juris Doctorate in May 2017. While at Stetson Law, Meaghann participated in Stetson’s intramural mock trial competition. She participated in a semester long clinic at the State Attorney’s Office in the 6th Judicial Circuit and worked as a Judicial Intern in the 13th Judicial Circuit.
After passing the Florida Bar Meaghann worked as a prosecutor at the State Attorney’s Office in the 6th Judicial Circuit. While there she developed invaluable legal skills. Meaghann now works as a Partner at Ligori & Ligori, P.A. Meaghann enjoys helping clients through the claims process. She is an advocate for victims of negligence and insurance company abuse. She is a member of the Florida Bar, The United States Middle District of Florida, Florida Justice Association, Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers and Hillsborough County Bar Association and she serves on the board of Celebrate Birthdays. Meaghan is an active member of the Tampa Bay community. She volunteers at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay and supports Mothers Against Drunk Drivers.
